Fixed Narrowband Market Review and Network Charge Control - Call for Inputs
Consultation published 17|05|2012
Ofcom seeks stakeholder views on its review of fixed narrowband telephony services. This call for inputs invites opinions on the proposed scope of the review; the approach Ofcom should adopt in assessing competitive conditions in fixed narrowband markets, both retail and wholesale; and how these markets have changed since the last review in 2009. The closing date for responses is 28 June 2012.
In order to explain our proposed timetable for the review, its scope and our approach, Ofcom invited stakeholders to attend workshops held in May 2012. The slide pack we presented is provided below.
Ofcom is also publishing a report (also below), produced by Analysys Mason Group, dated 15 May 2012, summarising the approach taken by several European national regulatory authorities (NRAs) to charge controls on fixed-call origination and termination.
