On a weekly basis, face-to-face is the most-used method for communicating with friends and family
Figure 1.17 shows that when the timeframe is extended to ‘at least once a week’, face-to-face meetings (86%) emerge as the most common way of communicating with friends and family. Text messages (70%), telephone calls (67% mobile, 55% fixed) and emails (47%) were the next most popular methods.
